It was a fun day at DCC! We celebrated Renzo's birthday with me making him carrot soup with nutmeg and honey, Chrissy brought her mom and made mini cakes, Nonni, Una and I sang for him, Dorothy bought him soup and Chrissy bought him a chair because he is moving into his own apartment! WHOOT! What fun!
Today was also the Easter dinner for the seniors so our numbers were down.
Two new people came who saw the ad in the Dundas Star News!
Besides the (vegan/gluten free) carrot soup I made for Renzo, I also made chicken/rice/vegetable. Nonni cooked up some chili that went over very nicely and donated it. Rie made Dutch vegetable soup with meatballs and donated it. I am ever so greatful! :)
Three under poverty level people came today and 20 soups were bought plus $5.25 was donated.
