Soup's On! (and other lunch programs) $2,600 desired and raised!
Coffee Break/Bible Study $1,300 desired, $561.09 raised(by Soup's On & donations raised)
Consignment Shop with clothing distribution for the homeless $6,100.00 desired
Total raised as of April 30th, 2008: $3,161.09
Budget Explanation
Soup Kitchen: hoping for minimal cost due to donations (soup, ingredients and location).
Coffee Break/Bible Study: hoping for bible donations. Minimal cost for snacks, coffee, tea and water to serve to the homeless.
Consignment Store: with basement or back room for giving out clothing to the homeless. Rent in Dundas can be expensive and is calculated in different ways for different buildings, as well as BIA taxes in some areas.
Shelter: If we have to buy a place it will be extremeley expensive. Heat, hydro, taxes, BIA fees, square footage fees and a morgage!
The one thing about running programs out of the Dundas Salvation Army location on John Street is there isn't a cost per hour. Possibly the same at the Dundas Community Centre as long as my bosses are here!
