Wednesday, April 30th was a cool but gloriously sunny day! As expected, fewer people came out to Soup's On!, but the numbers were still good! 18 bowls of soup were bought. 3 under poverty level people came out for soup.
Thank you to Nonni and Arlene for making soup! Nonni's looked like Chili, but was a soup with many veggies in it. Arlene made up a soup that had beef chunks and tons of different veggies in it!
My two soups were chicken with celery (thanks go to Kim & Pete for the donation of the chicken!) and potato in a beef stock with smoked pork (thanks go to Kim & Pete for the donation of the smoked pork hock!)
There were also monitary donations from Mairi (whom I drive for) at DCS, Renzo and someone who would rather I didn't expose them! ;) The total of donations received today was $31.65.
Let's see what GOD has up his sleeve for me the rest of this spring and this coming summer!
